How to do cinnamon rolls. Since I eat the first cinnamon in my life I think I’m addicted to them. Whenever I bake cinnamon rolls the smell of cinnamon spreads all over the house, and is something that I love it. I have tried lots of recipes, but I think that this is gonna be the last one. They are delicious and they are really easy to prepare.

This is my favorite recipe for the cinnamon rolls. Easy, fast and most importantly: delicious!

Comensales: 12 cinnamon rolls
For the cinnamon rolls dough
  • 245 mL milk
  • 1 egg
  • 15 g melted butter
  • 60 mL water
  • 7 g dried yeast
  • 12 g sugar
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 500 g flour
For the cinnamon rolls filling
  • 115 g butter
  • 200 g brown sugar
  • 2 tbs cinnamon powder
For the topping
  • 110 g icing sugar
  • 20-30 mL milk
  1. In a bowl mix together the milk, egg, melted butter, water, dried yeast, sugar and salt.
  2. Pour the flour slowly while you mix everything in a mixer with the dough hook attachment.
  3. Return the dough to the bowl, cover it with a tea towel and leave it rising 1 hour (or until it doubled size).
Meanwhile, we will start doing the filling for the cinnamon rolls.
  1. In a pan, melt the butter slowly.
  2. Add the brown sugar and cinnamon powder and mix it all together.
  3. When it starts boiling the filling set aside of the heat.
  4. Leave it chilling.
Now that we have left the dough rising, we can start shaping the cinnamon rolls.
  1. On a lightly floured work surface, roll the dough into a rectangle (approximately 20x40 cm).
  2. Pour the cinnamon filling on top of the dough and brush it to cover all the surface.
  3. Starting at one end, tightly roll up the dough.
  4. With a sharp knife cut 12 cinnamon rolls and set them apart on a baking tray.
  5. Leave them rising about 30 minutes.
  6. Bake the cinnamon rolls at 175ºC for about 20 minutes.
Although the cinnamon rolls are already ready, I love to put a sugar glaze on top of them. We mix together the icing sugar with the milk and we pour the mixture over the cinnamon rolls. You will see how addictive is this recipe of cinnamon rolls. You will like to prepare them every weekend.
